I recommend not buying this
though it probably is great for completing the game
final fantasy is all about finding out what to do on your own
that is part of the enjoyment
play the game, learn its secrets but do it ON YOUR OWN!
you dont need a book telling you how to play! A good way to complete an average game., 22 Sep 2007
Piggyback have created another comprehensive walkthrough for a final fantasy. The downside is that with the exception of a few bosses, the game is so simple that it doesn't need a walkthrough, though some of the puzzles might need them, if you are in a rush.
What this guide does deliver are a bestiary, which is as complete as I have come to expect. And, most useful of every thing, it has a secrets section. This is the section that I flip to the most for help. What the secrets section does do is tell you the best way to complete a given secret.
If you can stomach Tidus long enough to not to want to kill him and you want to get 100% completion, then this is a very good idea. Final Fantasy X Guide, 29 Jul 2007
This game is very hard at times so you will need this some puzzels will drive you crazy! and the last boss fights are very hard! so you do need this lots of help if you get lost 10/10 must buy and it godd just 2 look at. Better then expected!!!, 28 Nov 2005
I brought this guide along side the Final Fantasy X-2 one and expected that that one would be far better and much more helpful due to the percentage completion of that game, how wrong I was! This guide is brilliantly set out ONCE you get used to it. All the images in it are of a high quality and even had a few in there that I'd never seen, although I do wish that more original artwork was present.Small little thing trouble me about this guide but still think it's great and well worth the money. If you ever have problems finding out information a index page is at the back as well as a contents at the front so it will never take you long really. Probably the best FFX guide you will ever see, 22 Aug 2005
Piggyback have done an excellent job of writing this fantastic guide. It has 228 pages full of screenshots, detailed maps and all the information you could possibly need This book pretty much saved my life . When I first attempted this game (without the guide), I found myself in deep trouble with my characters too weak and my enemies far too powerful. Needless to say , I didn't get very far. But with the guides help, I completed the game with no trouble at all This book is an essential purchase. If you can't get through the game without the guide (like me) then you NEED to buy this. It's the best guide that you can get for the game in my opinion The book also has all the secrets, hidden aeons, dark aeons, blitzball help and so much more Buy it, read it, and enjoy the game !

With RPG's I tend to complete the game myself first and with such games as this where you have multiple endings as well as a percentage completion I redo the game with a guide.
If you've ever bought more than a couple of different guides then you will most likely know that piggy back never fail to deliver when it comes to strategy guides. They are well presented, full of secrets and contain a more than adaquete walkthrough to boot.
This particular guide is not as good as some of the previous ones in Piggyback's repertoire. I myself think the Final Fantasy VIII one is much better.
The X-2 guide is extremely well put together. However, Even with the guide gaining 100% is a lot harder than it sounds. It is easy to overlook certain points and you could miss certain events that may be required to complete in order to achieve the elusive 100% completion. I believe with the guide I managed around 98% which isn't too bad and I managed to see the "best ending". I won't give that away though as it's a bit of a spoiler.
If you like guides for games then you will love this. If you genuinely need a strategy guide because you can't actually complete the game without it then this will help you as well. If you want to uncover all the games secrets then this guide is for you.
I highly recommend this....
I'm still missing one costume though, luckily it's mascot which is a poor costume.
The art of maintaining one's dignity over the little dahlings, 27 Jun 2006
If like me, you are over 30 and have younger cousins (or kids )and you want to save face and not look like a total prat whilst playing games from the final fantasy series, then this book is for you.
Without this book, I will still be stuck in Kilika woods being eaten alive by some horrible beast or wandering around aimlessly along that long Mi-Hen high road! But with this wonderful book that has pictures, maps and strategies on how best to get through the game, you can happily gloat and lie about how "eaassy" the game is to the little dahlings
A super book, 28 Apr 2005
This book is super, great presentation, but before use read and get used to the layout and possble plan wot u do, i used book marks for each chapter area
Piggyback + Final Fantasy X-2 = the perfect pair, 18 Sep 2004
Woah - Final Fantasy X-2 has to be one of the best games I have ever played in my life. And what with Piggyback writing the strategy guide, I'm in heaven when I play this! It has large sections for beginners as well as pictures of every dress sphere and monsters. The walkthrough covers all of the main plot while the secrets section fills in the gaps. I would never have completed the game this quickly and easily if I hadn't bought this book. A DEFINATE MUST for ANY Final Fantasy X-2 fan. I highly recommend you buy this book if you have the game. I have been a huge fan of Piggyback ever since they started and I will continue to buy their books.
Buy it!!! (if your a big FF fan), 04 Jul 2004
Not much to say here really, this is a definite must for anyone who is a Final Fantasy fan and has FF X-2. This walkthrough is well illustrated with a very convenient index enabling you to find out what you need to know quickly. It is the official guide and gives you ALL the secrets, and the best hints for defeating bosses and solving puzzles etc.A problem I found with an earlier piggyback guide (the FF IX walkthrough) was that it didnt give you all the secrets, but it gave you a code that you could use on their website to find out a particular tip or secret.Thankfully, they have not done this in this guide. The guide is absolutely flawless if you own FF X-2 and are a big Final Fantasy fan, but perhaps not worth the money if you are only a casual fan.

A great guide with everything you need to know about how to get the most out of this superb game! The section on how to keep stars happy and turn 2-3 star scrips into 5 star movies were particularly helpful!
