Good foundation for the building blocks of Law and Ethics, 03 Jan 2008
I'm giving this 5 stars as it does what it has set out to do - "provides an accessible and comprehensive introduction to law and ethics". Each chapter is separated into manageable chunks with plausible case studies - ideal for relating theory to practice. It does not shy away from encouraging the reader to access and read other books etc and the Key Points are extremely useful.

Profiles and Portfolios, 27 Mar 2004
As a first year student nurse i have just started to build a portfolio. This book is very easy to read explaining clearly what a portfolio is and what to include in it. It includes tips and Key points throughout and a very handy CD Rom providing useful templates, for example, a cv guide and reflective models such as Gibbs. I would recommend this book to anyone just starting out in their training.

This book was an excellent text book for the AVCE Health and Social Care- Double Award. I find the writing very simple and the end of each unit to provide extra support on either the exam based units or the assignment based units to make sure you are well-informed of what is required to achieve either the E, C or A Grade on each unit. This book covers the compulsory units from the course Unit 1-6, and its better written text book than the other text books for the course which are on the market.
An excellent study guide, 18 Sep 2003
This book is a very good accompanyment to the first year of the AVCE Health and Social Care course. It is well laid out and easy to follow. The questions at the ends of the chapters are a good help for exams.
This book is the best of its kind., 21 Jun 2001
