From sceptic to believer in minutes, 03 Sep 2008
I've read dozens of so called self help books including several on cosmic ordering without ever seeing any real benefit. I think perhaps I have been too ready to finish one book and go on to another without taking any sustained action in order to profit. Audio CDs have never worked for me either so I was astounded when I had immediate results from Stephen Richards Audiobook - Cosmic Ordering Connection.
If I'm honest, this was something of a last resort, but it's made me a firm believer in Cosmic Ordering. The experience of connecting with the cosmos using this audiobook is intense yet completely relaxing. The author's voice (thankfully British) soothes guides and relaxes whilst doing all the 'ordering' for you.
Immerse yourself in the recording and surrender any conscious effort.
The result for me was an immediate feeling of well being and an invigorated, truly positive attitude.
And if you're wondering whether the cosmos delivered the goods, I have a nice fat cheque by the side of my laptop as I type. Unbelievable? Well it used to be unbelievable until now.

The Cosmic Ordering Guide book changed my life, this CD has changed my life even more for the better. Rather than explain what it has done for me I would rather you experienced it for yourself. Believe me, nothing in this field comes even close to this!
Maybe that's the cosmic order, maybe that's just good luck, 27 Jun 2008
This is the first time I have been writing a review on anything I ordered from Amazon. I decided to do it as I am amazed by the results of cosmic orders. I won't tell you exactly what I have asked for but I want to share with you the fact that I was waiting for around two years for something to happen in my life. After reading the book on cosmic orders I placed my wish to cosmos asking for giving me that thing as soon as possible. Saying as soon as possible I didn't mean tomorrow or even in one year time. I was prepared to wait another few years. What happened the next day, made me feel amazed, happy and a bit confused. I got exactly what I asked for. I felt a bit confused as I really didn't expect cosmos to take `as soon as possible' so seriously but I'm very glad it did!
I truly don't know how to express how satisfied I am with the CD. Therefore, I will leave it to your own experience to make a comment on it. I strongly recommend to get both the book and the CD.

A good companion for the DVD, 22 Nov 2008
This book is simple and tells 'the secret' very basically. Really you would need the DVD to go along with the book to get the full flavour of what is being talked about The Secret DVD I've tried out the practice they suggest and it does actually seem to work to some degree. I was hoping for more of the spiritual element but I was pleased with it anyway. K.Loys book Finding Reality 'Awakening to Spiritual Freedom' would be good with this to get a more deeper understanding of thought and spiritual experience.
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible., 03 Nov 2008
This suffers from the same problems as the DVD.
It's derivative. There is absolutely nothing that hasn't been said over and over again.
It's simplistic. Life can be simple, but that doesn't mean you should treat your audience as if they are too.
It's repetitive. Get a variety of different figures in your niche to all say the same things using slightly different words.
It's nasty. Follow the philosophy through to it's logical conclusion and you are left with the concept that those who suffer have brought it upon themselves. There may be a grain of truth for some of the many unfortunates out there, but try telling a starving family in a poverty- and drought-stricken wilderness that really they ought to just change their attitudes and it'll all work out, then see which religion's version of hell you belong in.
It's insidious. They stack what I am sure they see as reasonable arguments one on top of the other, leading from premise to unfounded conclusion at such speed and in such a fashion that they gradually start to get in just through the continual exposure to the same old message.
The whole thing is trite, simple and hackneyed.
Still, it proves what good underground marketing can do. Don't be a sheep. Borrow it first, read it carefully, think on it, then have a good laugh, give it back and forget you ever heard of this tosh.
Promises what it cannot deliver., 31 Oct 2008
Should you wish to read this book with the sole intention of feeling both good about yourself and the world in general, then you will undoubtedly find that it lifts the spirits and enables you to view everything through the proverbial 'rose coloured spectacles'. If this is all you want to obtain from this book then my heartfelt good wishes to you. If, on the otherhand, you are desirous of creating miracles (as the blurb promises) then you will be sadly disappointed. To preclude all doubt to the point where you are able to effectively change the world around you, or your future for that matter, takes something that the majority of us simply cannot command. Jesus could do it - but then he was something a bit special. The rest of us, unfortunately, will have to be satisfied with the rose coloured spectacles. Miracles are not intended for the mundane.
Is the world controlled by a 1% elite?, 21 Oct 2008
The book and the video are the two sides of the same coin and I would advise you to follow the one or the other. I will suggest though that you concentrate on the video because the commentary between the quotations are nothing but the proof that some people need a lot more explanations and a lot of paraphrase to understand the basic meaning. Are we all without limits? And that is going to be my very first remark. From my long experience I know that some people are physically handicapped, or mentally handicapped, or psychologically handicapped, or with many hurdles on their road and around them. You should see the state of some of those children born to deep alcoholics or drug addicts. Or what about children with a severe genetic disparagement? And I refuse to say they are just disabled, or differently-abled. They are handicapped by being materialistically in their very body or mind at a disadvantage that will prevent them from doing what most people around them will be able to do. If the mind is intact, and working on positive thinking is the only way for these people, then they can compensate their physical limitations with their spiritual achievements. But you can't run in the standard Olympics without legs just like a bicycle will not run without wheels. And this time, in most of these situations, one will not be able to excel, full stop and period, and if one can excel in one particular field in which he is not or is less limited, it won't be without the help of other people around them. You cannot think positive if there is no signs along that road. The second remark is positive. Apart from these special cases, everyone, absolutely everyone can excel somewhere and that excellence can only be reached if it is targeted, looked for and built. Positive thinking, education, understanding that the pleasure of such achievements is in the goal when reached and not in the effort you have to accomplish, even if for those who will reach the highest points this very effort is a pleasure, the pleasure of the effort itself. A runner has to train day in and day out and that is never, absolutely never a plain entertaining phase of relaxation and abandon. Physical pleasure requires sweat and heart speed. But if one does not set their minds on the aim they are going to strive towards, they will never reach it. Success is enormously in the mind, in the conscious and subconscious motivation of the candidate. Yet it is absolutely false to say that man has no limits. Humanity, and every member of it, has always been limited historically and no one could think plasma physics or quantum computers under Julius Caesar. Each historical period produces its possible fields of investigation that are limited because in a later historical period those fields of investigation will always be vaster, larger, deeper, more intense. Or then the author is speaking metaphorically of man as the representative of humanity in its cosmic history. But that is not helping any individual who is striving to achieve something in his own life. Icarus did try to fly but wax wings were kind of primitive. Then my third and last remark will be a question: why only ONE percent of humanity controls NINETY-SIX percent of wealth? If this is a fact, and it is, it is the proof that all men are not equal in facts but only in rights, and that is so by our collective decision to say so. But one thing is sure: thinking negatively is never good. Think of McCain and Palin and their negative campaigning. Think of all the anarchists of the world who have never achieved the slightest beginning of their dream which is only a negative picture of the world the way it is. If you criticize the world systematically, then your dream becomes the inverted image of this world, hence a negative picture of reality, and that will never guide or inspire people into desiring such a future. When I don't like something I do not ask for the reverse. I wonder what the situation is, what the possibilities are and if another solution is possible and which one. Then I will think positively along that objective, or rather as objective as possible, line, but to demand black because what I don't like is white, or to require red because what I don't like is blue is primitive negative thinking. That kind of realism and collective striving is absent from this book or video and that is a shame because they forget attraction holds the world and the cosmos up because it is always counterbalanced by repulsion. Otherwise the moon would have fallen onto the earth a long very long time ago, even if this repulsion is itself the product of attractions that are standing abreast and against the attraction of the earth. The apple did not fall as long as the stem was strong enough and the apple light enough for the stem not to break. The author of this book or video seems to have forgotten that the cosmos is a complex system of opposed spheres and when a weak point appears, then a catastrophe develops in that weak point, and the earth is doomed sooner or later in cosmic time to disappear, just like the sun which will one day have burned all itself fuel.

Dreadful Twaddle, 16 Oct 2008
After you cut though all the flannel, the secret is revealed. If you think about things they will come to you. No they won't. It takes dedication, persistence and hard work to achieve success, get rich, lose weight or achieve whatever your goal is. This book is delusional and misleading. The elements on positive thinking are fine but they are better expressed in many other self-help books. The 'secret' itself is laughable.

one of the most boring cd's i have ever attempted to listen too!, 14 Oct 2008
I was very dissappointed with this cd, considering the good reports from the book (which i have not read) i was quite excited when i got the cd home and was looking forwards to listening too it. But my excitement soon turned to disbelieve though as i attempted to get "into it" i just couldn't beleive how boring it was, both stephen covey's voice (as someone else has already pointed out!) and the layout of the information presented on the cd, which i actually thought at times came across as quite patronising and utter rubbish! it reminded me of one of my university lecturers who's lesson we all used to fall to sleep in! and like a badly put together presentation (as someone else has also pointed out) and not a motivational tool for improvement, it just seemed never ending and drowned on and on! i didn't even make it to the end of the cd as it was just so boring! and i can honestly say i haven't learned a single thing from it. I can't comment on the book, but would definatly stick to that as an alternative! all i can say is hurrah for Tony Robbins!!
Success methods?!, 23 Mar 2008
I could say that this is an essential tool in the vast search for success. I have implemented and kept these habits in my life not only in business but in many other aspects.
Points which we all innately know, just nice to hear a clerical view.
An invitation to read the book, 22 Nov 2007
I read the book some years ago. It seemed to make sense but didn't stick by me. However, when you hear Covey and his stories, it is more convincing then print. When I have the time I'll pick the book up again. Covey's voice and tone are not the most entertaining but the clear presentation of ideas and his stories make up for this.
This isn't an audio book. It is more like a speech with some comments and music in between to cut it up in chapters. If I buy an e-book it's because I want to hear it while doing other stuff. The CD contains one track of approx 70 minutes. Several tracks so you it would be easier to pick up where you left before would be better.
Business Consultant, 02 Jul 2007
Stephen R Covey's book helped me to understand that I am the one who must declare success into my life. I need to choose to be different and therefore act differently in order to acquire success. Our purpose and our direction are found when we decide to improve the way we do life. Who we are is more important than what we do. You will be thrilled with the improved output in your life when you change on the inside. Get ready for your mission, see the big picture, don't hesitate to move towards your dream and do it with integrity and an understanding of how others see life. Every day choose to make a difference and you will be amazed at the "who" you have become. This book taught me that leaders are readers and that I have to choose to grow. If it is to be THEN it is up to me. This is the book that changed my business life, my self belief and financial state forever.
Poor presentation, 21 Jun 2007
Steven Covey's voice is not dynamic so it is really difficult to become engaged by him. Also, he doesn't summarise or go back and repeat earlier 'habits' often enough. I have been listening to motivational podcasts and he could really learn a thing or two from some of those presenters.
Conceptually it is sound, but if you really want to learn anything get the book. It should come with a warning - do not operate heavy machinery while listening!

The previous reviewer seems to be referring to another CD by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This CD set has 4 CD's, Bodyscan Meditation, Mindful Yoga, Sitting Meditation and Mindful Yoga 2. This CD forms the basis of the 8 week Mindfulness course developed by Jon Kabat Zinn and adapted by Mark Williams and others to run in the UK. The Bodyscan and the Sitting Meditation are the ones I use the most so far they form the bedrock for Mindfulness as put forward by Jon Kabat Zinn. I use them regularly and learn something about myself and Mindfulness every time I listen to the CD's. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the best teacher of Mindfulness I have found he talks total sense backed up by a scientific background and years of running courses on Mindfulness in hospitals and medical centres across America. If you want to considerably enhance your life get this CD and listen to it regularly for a month or so and see what affect it has. I am a counsellor and use Mindfulness in my work as it makes so much sense in helping us be more aware of our thoughts and skills to be able to come back into the present moment and be present with our experience whatever that may be.
A Very Good Beginners Guide., 26 Oct 2007
This audiobook consists of two CDs. The first is the author talking about meditation, and this CD is wonderful to listen to. He has a really nice voice to listen to and talks as if he is just talking to you alone. He makes if feel as if Meditation is available to everyone, and anyone can do this, which is true, but so helpful to a beginner to be reassured that it is within their reach. The second CD is a set of progressive meditations, quite short, but each one taking you a stage further on. I found them really helpful to work through, as it got me to a stage where I could continue alone. I am a beginner at this but have found this audiobook very helpful and I do actually find it works. If you want to begin Meditation and find the market is too flooded with all kinds of books and methods, then start here with this audiobook. It will guide you through a no-nonsense method, and you can then follow-up any other methods you choose afterwards, when you know what it is about and what it can do for you.

An Antidote to Modern Life!, 01 Nov 2008
Finding Happiness is one of those rare gems of a book that serenely guides you through the trials of modern day life. Father Jamison takes the reader hand in hand to genuine inner joy. "Are monks happy?" His reply, "They are not unhappy." That grabbed me straight away, along with his question about having a happy death! Having never thought about death being happy, on the rare occasions I think about death. I realised that to have a happy death, equates to having a happy and fulfilled life.
With his profound insights, and effective communication, this book remarkably mirrors humanities embedded condition. With such elegance, we're guided through many of the reasons that make us unhappy.
Ultimately the dark clouds dissipate, opening the door to inner happiness, if you so choose..
This book is of a solid foundation to make a significant change in your life. Its timing in this troubled era is perfect.

Life enhancing, 10 Oct 2008
ANGEL THERAPY DOREEN VIRTUE, 13 Nov 2008
If I had to buy just one of these types of CDs then I would get this one. Whether you are a novice or more advanced, this is one to buy. You choose at the beggining of the meditation what you need to focus on or work on, or approach it to the whole of your life. Brilliant.
Fantastic, 24 Oct 2008
This is a wonderful meditation, I have all of Doreens Oracle Card decks, a lot of her meditations and books, this Cd takes me back to when I went to her Healing with the Angels Seminar last year, it almost felt like I was back there. She gathers all the Archangels together to give you a cleansing that can be topic specific which you can change during the meditation or general, you can cut cords that are spent allowing you to keep the love that relationships and friendships are born on. To me this is a very special meditational CD and very powerful. Brilliant work, thank you Doreen.

Just fantastic is the only way to describe this CD, just finished listening to it 5 mins ago so I dont know if it has worked for my cosmic order but im sure it has, cosmic orders aside, this is the best relaxation and self hypnosis CD I have heard so far cheep at half the price.
Dont take my word for it try it your self.
Cheers JD
just brilliant!, 21 Jul 2008
This cd has put new perspective on my life. It has made me focus more on the positive things rather than the negative, and certainly does what it says. enjoy!

With love and light

A good companion for the DVD, 22 Nov 2008
This book is simple and tells 'the secret' very basically. Really you would need the DVD to go along with the book to get the full flavour of what is being talked about The Secret DVD I've tried out the practice they suggest and it does actually seem to work to some degree. I was hoping for more of the spiritual element but I was pleased with it anyway. K.Loys book Finding Reality 'Awakening to Spiritual Freedom' would be good with this to get a more deeper understanding of thought and spiritual experience.

It's insidious. They stack what I am sure they see as reasonable arguments one on top of the other, leading from premise to unfounded conclusion at such speed and in such a fashion that they gradually start to get in just through the continual exposure to the same old message.
