A great book - but it for yourself or as a present!, 06 Jun 2007
I was given this book years ago as a present by my sister and I can say it's uncannily accurate if used as per the instructions - and I don't mean daily horoscope accurate in a way that could be interpreted in any which way for anyone - I mean generally very specific in a way personal to your question. For example, 2 weeks ago, I questioned it about my career prospects and was duly told that I'd pretty much had none unless I moved away from where I am just now. Being an answer I didn't like much, I forgot about it pretty quickly (as I am wont to do) but now I have an interview in the city where my sister lives that isn't really that far away from where I am now, but is certainly somewhere diferent! And this job was something I went for without the Oracle guidence in my head, it just seemed to hapen that way (and I only remembered asking about it yesterday!). OK, so I'm still to get the job, but you'll see where I'm heading with this?! Anyway, if you do buy it, definatly do like the book suggests and keep a book of all the questions and the answers you get - in time, you'll be more than surprised! fabulous, 16 Mar 2007
This book is a must if you have issues that you need help or are unsure about. The questions cover most topics, and I swear by it.
It has predicted a ton of stuff for me and I would't be without it.
Really easy to use.
superb, 15 Dec 2004
I really like this book and find it very accurate, naturally when one concentrates enough. My book is falling apart, I have used it so much. I also read cards and often use this in conjunction. I really love Titanias books. Scarily accurate, 08 May 2004
This book is fantastic. It has a question to suit any problem or dilemma you may have. The answers are extremely accurate and I challenge anyone who does't believe in this sort of thing to try it out for themselves. It is a very attractive book with a nice velvety cover and beautiful pictures inside. The only downside is that it starts to fall apart easily from all the flicking back and forth of pages looking for the answer-I would reccomend getting the hardback edition-the small bit extra would be worth it in the long run.
I feel conned, 13 Feb 2004
I feel totally and utterly conned by this book. There are 100 questions to suit all occasions. After choosing a question, you then let your finger hover over a wheel of 13 symbols, to finally rest on one that you feel drawn to. Fine so far. However, NO MATTER WHICH SYMBOL YOU LAND ON, you will find a relevant answer to your question. For example, if you ask question number 86 "Can I find the object I have lost", you will get one of thirteen answers, all pertaining to that question, such as "Someone will bring it back to you" or "It will turn up when it has a mind to" or "it is in a dark place" or "it is being moved around undetected" and so on and so on with all 100 questions. There is nothing wrong with this kind of silly nonsense if it's just cheap Christmas cracker type party entertainment that you are looking for. But for those of us who take magic seriously it is highly insulting. This was the first book by Titania Hardie that I purchased, and will definitely be my last. It has gone straight in the bin.

A Good Introduction, 30 Nov 2001
If you have thought of dowsing, but wanted a need little book that introduces the subject, then this book is ideal. It is very simple to understand and practical. It teaches you the basics without getting itself involved in long debates as to the history and how it works. There is a useful list of contact addresses at the end as well.

Dowsing for Health and Vitality, 26 Nov 2004
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a holistic health practictioner, I thought it was clear, concise and covered many aspects of dowsing, energy, healing & wellness.
Dowsing for Health, 31 Jul 2002
A beautifully illustrated guide to the art of dowsing. Macmanaway shows how with the help of the pendulum you can access your intuition and find the cause of any health problems. Find out if you have any food intolerances, and how to desensitise yourself to them. Use dowsing to locate and treat any chakra imbalances. Find the right remedy to treat yourself and your family. Attune yourself to your environment, and find any areas of stress which may be causing ill health or lack of vitality. A fascinating book, with practise exercises to sharpen your skills.

Not the best, 12 Jul 2005
I love all the "Love is in the EArth" books, however, i found this one disappointing. the content is OK, and well described, but is rather short (minus 1 star) and the pictures are dodgy scans of the stones rather than photos, and are lacking in detail. "Suplement A" is a much better book, but you need both A and Z to complete the "'Kaleidoscope" range.
Love Is in the Earth : Kaleidoscopic Pictorial Supplement Z., 04 Aug 2002
A friend lent me the origonal "Love is in the Earth" book which covers everthing you need to know about Crystals and their helpful healing qualities, with detailed desciptions of the properties each Crystal offers. This supplement gives further detailed pictures to enhance the origonal book and is a "must have" to help and guide the experienced and novice. It makes the series complete.

Not what I was looking for, 18 May 2008
Nice little book but i was looking for something more related to using pendulums for personal use. This book is much more about energy lines, churches and stuff so if that's what you're looking for this book would be for you.
Not getting what you really want is one of the problems when books don't allow you to search inside or at least give you a table of contents.
Sorry I couldn't give you five stars Mr Hamish Miller
the best starting point, 11 Jun 2003
Hamish Miller is a very gifted dowser whose wonderful book is full of great insight and humour, while being admirably clear and practical. It is also superbly illustrated. You could be dowsing successfully (for anything!) within twenty minutes of picking up this book. Highly recommended.

Discovering dowsing's appeal for you, 23 Mar 2004
This handy sized book is plainly written and an enjoyable introduction to dowsing as it is practised today. Despite its title, the book introduces the reader to methods applicable anywhere using commonly available materials -- you'll never look at a wire coat hanger the same again! The author is a successful tutor and he clearly understands readers' needs for practical guidance and inspiring examples of what can be acheived by the dowser using rods, pendulum or wand. Readers can even become familiar with dowsing remotely using maps. I particularly enjoyed the author's account of dowsing the footsteps of people involved in a murder on Dartmoor in the mid-nineteenth century. The novice dowser will find this book a good how-to manual devoid of the esoteric padding other volumes can have. The experienced dowser will find ideas to extend and develop their art through the case studies offered. Dowsing in Devon and Cornwall informs and entertains and is well worth the time taken to read it.
