Yet another fraud for the credulous to waste their money on., 25 Oct 2008
What can I say... perhaps she should re-title her book to "pretentious delusions of a charlatan" as the current title could be construed as obtaining money by deception.
James Randi offers any psychic 1 million dollars to demonstrate any such ability, but I doubt Sally would entertain any such a notion as she's making too much money from the easily lead. Any rigorous scientific examination of her "gift" would reveal her to be a con artist.
Fantastic read, 29 Sep 2008
I saw sallys incredible show on itv and was blown away by her accuracy so couldnt wait to read her book and i wasnt disappointed. Its very easy too read, moving through her life in stages dealing with her childhood and early spiritual experiences and ending with the very best chapters involving her association with princess Diana which proved a rivoting read.An excellent read from a very down to earth warm and caring woman.I`d highly recommend it for all those interested in mediums and psychics.

Really good book and easy to follow, 15 Oct 2008
I really loved this book.. It is easy to follow as it is written in very simple english unlike some other writers here i have to take my dictionary out. I guess it has changed the way i think about life.
I have now started reading "I can make you Rich" by Paul Mckenna and it seems to be another fantastic book.
I simply loved it.
A waste of time and money, 13 Sep 2008
Don't bother with this book. One must suspect that it's all a clever trick which will contribute to Paul McKenna's success in life but definitely not to yours. I followed the book and listened to the CD exactly as directed. It's hard to believe the generally platitudinous advice but for a week it seems worth a try.
Of course absolutely nothing changed and I question my naivety in ever thinking that reading a simplistic book and listening to a frankly very boring CD could make any difference in the real world. There are many people who seem to feel that this book helped them but my suggestion would be to attend instead to your own problems and not to look for simple solutions.
It certainly wasted my time and money.
Too much of nothing in too little time..., 18 Jul 2008
I am on the 7th day of this book having read it every day for the last week.
Of course, on day 1 I was very excited about the week ahead and getting to grips with life and taking on a more positive attitude. Although I still feel this is my intention, I found the book overall to be disappointing.
For one, there is too much to read each day! I have not been working this week - I have been on holiday and had a few other things to do but not much and it has taken the best part of all day to read each chapter and do the exercises. I mean it takes an hour to listen to the CD alone. (Half hour in morning, half hour in evening) If I had been doing an 8 hour working day, plus travel time, plus dinner and every other thing life needs, there is no way I could have got through all this in a week!
The exercises become very repetitive after a while. I found myself feeling angry every time I read the next exercise, they all read EXACTLY the same way!
i.e. "Think of a time when you felt really..." (confident, positive, happy) Now, make the colours brighter and richer, the sounds louder, allow your feelings to intensify", "times that feeling by 10" and "step into it now, feel those great feelings" Voila! You are now programming your mind to feel... (confident, positive, happy)
Pick any day - it is the same formula. What's more, it becomes overwhelming. Each day, you have more and more exercises to do before starting the day and as they are so similar it becomes irritating to say the least, that along with the dumbed-down tone of the book.
Yes, the advice is so superficial, written in a catch all style, aimed at mass markets. Paul McKenna makes no secret about loving wealth which is fair enough but it makes the more discerning reader feel like a bit of a mug.
I have not found this CD to be as good as the Confidence CD that was recommended to me by a friend (and that wasn't great)and they are both very similar. The Confidence one seems a little bit more polished. Is Paul McKenna just a one trick pony? Also, I feel he doesn't give you enough time during the trance to get into those feelings.
I personally find it difficult to bring up great feelings on cue, especially if I am feeling down, unmotivated etc... if I didn't, I probably wouldn't be reading books like these, I would just remember a happy time and be done with it! This is true of the exercises and of the CD.
I like what I have seen of Paul McKenna on the television. He has done some miraculous things and I believe them all to be genuine. But I guess that's the power of a one-on-one session with a hypnotherapist; there is feedback.
Felt this all needed saying as the question I emailed to the Paul McKenna website was not answered by any of the team - again, just makes you feel like the sucker who bought the book and was moved on from!
I do aim to have a great life and a lot of simple advice in this book is true and may be useful to some, even a lot but 90% of the book was 'gash' and only 10% was enlightening for me.
Having said all that though, I suppose the week has been good. After a year of not being sure what to do career-wise, I have decided upon a career change and have set aside the next 6 months to learn the new skills and become qualified. Wondering how to get the £500 needed to get the materials and exam entries, I was contacted by my credit-card company saying they refunded all the money on it that was taken off fraudulently and there is an extra £1000 on there which they say I can keep as they don't know where it came from! Law Of Attraction maybe?!
This book tells you how to do it. But you must do it yourself., 29 Jun 2008
I'll start by saying, I have all Paul's books, and I'm a massive admirer of his work and ethos.
There's one massive flaw with this book though. Reading the synopsis, the reviews and even the introductory chapter, you get the impression reading the book will change your life in seven days. If you just read it, you won't. I do feel if I was to knock one mark out of one hundred for this book, it would be that Paul doesn't make it clear enough, you can't just read the book. It's a manual you have to learn from and apply to your life.
Practise, and execution is the key. Paul will show you how to do it, but really you have to do it. I would consider needing 15 mins a day (best in the morning) to go through the exercises.
And when the going gets tough, don't give up. Go back to the methods.
I say this, because I've twice "failed" on the book. I'll go for up to a week, before falling back in bad habits.
Having just split up with my girlfriend, I'm taking on the book again (and Paul's other title 'I Can Mend Your Broken Heart'). And this time I'm going to take on the suggestions, and the life changes religiously. Life I breath air!
And when you do this with the book, its fully worth 5 stars.
Change your life ...at your own pace, 21 Mar 2008
I agree wholeheartedly with the rave reviews others have given this book/CD, and I second the notion that the "7 Days" part of the title is quite ambitious. But no one can predict how much reprogramming their own mind will need until the work gets under way. In my first few days of listening and reading, before I noticed any real changes in my outlook or my behaviour, I found myself looking forward to the time I would spend on this. So maybe there were changes already happening that were a bit too subtle for me to recognise them. Within about 3 weeks' time, there was no mistaking that my thought patterns were becoming more positive and now (about 3 months since I first bought the book/CD), it's clear that much of the content has stuck with me and plays itself in my head automatically.
The big message is that you can't just spend 7 days and imagine that your life is "fixed." Buy the book and CD, use it steadily for a week, then come back to it from time to time to make sure you don't take a backward slide into old ways of thinking.
The single most important thing that has stuck with me from this CD is that whatever occupies your attention most is what you will create for yourself. So you are the only one who can decide what that will be, but Paul's book and CD can certainly help make it positive and constructive.
If you find you get tired of listening to the same CD over and over (which did happen to me after about 10 days), try alternating this one with Glenn Harrold's positive thinking CD, which is a bit more relaxing. (I like Paul in the morning and Glenn at night. ;)
So off you go to change your life. Who else is going to do it?

Positively uplifting, 19 Oct 2008
After spending a considerable amount of time following what has become known as "The Law of Attraction" and reading the Esther Hicks series of books on that subject (The Law of Attraction), I am now quite swayed in the direction of cosmic ordering.
The Cosmic Ordering Guide: Where Dreams Can Become Reality is not just a book that you just read for the sake of reading another one of those self-improvement books. No! It is a book that you infuse with yourself, a book that become so powerfully uplifting that you just want to gobble up all of the info as fast as possible so that you can start putting it to use.
As I was reading this, I became pleasantly aware of how different it was to any other discipline within the self-improvement genre of books. One could so easily be swayed into comparing it to the other disciplines of "get rich quick" books. This is as far removed from the diluted versions of "get rich quick" books out there as banking is from gardening - there is just no comparison.
With the likes of, for instance, McKenna's spin on this subject in I Can Make You Rich (Book and CD), quite obviously that genre of title uses commercial marketing ploys to get you to part with your money, thus making the subject matter seem almost cosy-like. Yet the content of those types of books fail miserably to deliver anything other than the use of thought in making your dreams come true, it is all just about visualisation techniques.
If you are expecting another one of those "visualisation technique" books with this one, you will be supremely surprise at how different it is, and how it guides you to make an actual connection with the cosmos! All leading up to the "Big Bang", which is the moment, the author says, you connect to the cosmos to place your cosmic order/s. Although the author does say that this "big bang" may not happen for everyone, and even if it does not then you will still be connecting. This is where this book differs by a million miles from the rather boring pile that is steadily amassing into a mountain of wasted paper. This book is bold enough to show you the way and to actually explain in an easy to understand way that is very informative and easy to follow.
The no frills and straight talking way of the author is so refreshing from how some other authors hold a very pompous view of their chosen subject. Here you are told of the author's own failures and how he secured all of his own millions by sole use of his own techniques. This is what endears you to the author, to know how he went through the same as most of his aspiring readers are going through, the hell of having nothing to the sublime of having it all, and as the author says, "All through cosmic ordering."
My own experience of using this book has been very rewarding and I now consider myself a true believer of this subject. To the reader just reading this book for the sake of adding another one to the collection, I would say that reading it is not enough, you have to actually put into action what is within it. Reading this book will not do anything for the reader. Anyone expecting to find the pot of gold at the end page will find himself or herself disappointed, as that only happens in films. The reader is expected to want to improve their lot, and that is exactly what this book can do for you.
Positive and inspiring, 04 Oct 2008
This Cosmic Ordering guide by Stephen Richards is the perfect antidote to modern living. It brilliantly explains the concepts of cosmic ordering so that the reader can easily understand and absorb the importance of communicating with the cosmos to make powerful changes in their life. As well as featuring the author's tale of success against the odds, I always enjoy reading about a person from a humble background succeeding, it is an inspiring read.
Should definitely be read in partnership with Stephen Richard's Cosmic Ordering Connection: Change Your Life Within Minutes! Together they are a powerful union for developing change. Lovely.
It worked, 28 Aug 2008
I was seriously sceptical but open minded before I read this book. I have to say I found it worked!! Up to now, everything I have asked for has materialised but it does not happen by magic. It takes time, perseverence and dedication to the cause.
It is an easy and interesting read, not at all difficult to follow.
Whether you call it cosmic ordering, wishful thinking, praying - it has certainly worked for me.
Oooops..., 08 Aug 2008
I guess you have to be a 'believer' in these kind of things first. What a load of nonsensical fragmented ideas about how to lead your life. Maybe there's an order in the cosmos, it sure isn't to be found in this book.
Cosmic timing, 24 Jul 2008
A great contribution to the debate from Stephen Richards. Most of us CO devotees have to put up with the odd jibe from friends about being nuts in planning our futures by the stars. But with this type of guide from Stephen Richards, and the intervention of a media giant like Noel Edmonds, it doesn't seem that funny any more.

Now i know what all my crystals are for. Would be nice if the index was made of mini pictures as I didn't know what my crystals were all called. The book contains info on all the crystals I have ever seen. (Thats lodes)
Most comprehensive guide on crystals out there!, 21 Aug 2008
I am a beginner when it comes to crystals and this book was a fantastic introduction for me, although I don't think it would be out of place in the expert's collection either.
It is very clear and well set out with large colourful photos of each crystal. The crystals are in alphabetical order listing their healing attributes and the position of use. From what I could tell there seems to be a very wide collection of well known and rarer crystals listed.
At the start of the book there is a section on crystal formation and crystal healing. The shapes of the crystals and the effect that it has on their healing properties is written about at the back of the book. These sections really helped me with what to actually do with the crystal now I have got the right one for me.
Overall this is a wonderful purchase for the crystal enthusiast or the crystal beginner!
did not help with my geology gcse, 06 Apr 2008
I used this bible - thinking it to be ultimate unchallengable Truth - but when I failed my geology gcse I suddenly remember that the bible was actually a cobbled together, contradictory and antique bundle of opinions and nonsense.

All crystals seem to have some sort of hidden healing power, this book helps you select the one that is right for you. A real treat to even read about the obscure cystals, too. Well worth the invetment if you want to learn about these magical stones of life.
Definitive it is!, 21 Jan 2008
A very good book which I use often to check out stones and use her other books eg encyclopedia of crystals and new crystals. Worth it for a reference book.

Wonderful & Works!, 13 Nov 2008
Really all the word "God" means is "Good" as in "Positive Energy"! So there doesn't have to be anything religious about the term!
As always Doreen has produced a great work.
I do the morning and evening meditations daily if I can. The change it sets in motion is on a very deep level which you don't notice at first. Then you begin to notice little things happening all around you. Perhaps your mood or energy level lifts, your environment and the people around you are more positive, you find yourself in the midst of positive joyful experiences, you have a clarity of mind that you didn't have before. It is as if practicing a meditation like this one opens a floodgate somewhere and you become drenched in healing energy and light.
It's hard to explain the changes I mean but those customers who have used it and sensed a gradual 'difference' in their life will know what I am getting at!
Thank you Doreen!
Patronising waste of money, 12 Nov 2008
I bought this on the strength of the many glowing reviews, but i wish i hadnt. The woman talks to you as if you are mentally challenged, in a horrible patronising voice which ended up adding to my stress not relieving it!
Before you buy anything of this nature be sure to sample it first - if the narrator's voice gets on your nerves, its an absolute waste of money.
tell tell tell us do - what then is the 1st bestest chakra clearer, 18 Jun 2008
theres always one (and its often the same one) who demolishes the reviews section with a comment like this is the second best chakra clearing book, and thendoesn't tell the rest of dirty, blocked chakra'd folk which is the best way of clearing our chakras...tell us guru jamieson, enlighten us, have you per chance written a book....to share generously the great chakra clearing wisdom of the Jamieson...
I believed in it, stuck with it, but it didn't work. , 18 Jun 2008
I also was recommended this by Stephen Richards and I had total faith in its ability to remove whatever was stopping cosmic ordering from working, precisely because he had recommended it, even though I'm not sure what I think about chakras as such, even though I believe in energy points on the body and can verify that tapping certain points, as in Emotional Freedom Techniques, can make a bit of a difference to taking the edge off painful emotions.
I bought the cd and book with an open mind and felt a hopeful belief that it would work. I wasn't at all bothered by the mention of God, it was nice and reassuring in a way. I listened to the cd religiously twice a day, the night and morning meditation, and stuck with it for around six weeks. I had to give up with it eventually. It did nothing for me. I tried to persevere with it, but it got to the stage where it was upsetting me to use it as not only had it made no difference to anything, her voice had become intensely irritating to me and it was making me feel frustrated and sad and impatient attempting to keep listening to it.
At first it had seemed like just another self hypnosis recording that was an aid to relaxation, and I found it easy to follow the instructions and no problems with visualising the chakras, but as time went on, over weeks, it became tedious to listen to, until one day, in the middle of listening to it, I felt like throwing it across the room and had to turn it off with a real sense of impatience and disappointment and just go out to get away from the feeling it had engendered. Such disappointment in what I beleived was going to be something useful and wonderful. I just could not cope with listening to it anymore and never told Stephen as I didn't want to disappoint him by letting him know that something he had so wholeheartedly recommended had done nothing for me in the long run.
There seem to be no easy answers in life and maybe making people feel that they can really get what they want just by using a cd such as this one, is misleading at best and damaging at worst as it gives false hope which makes you feel unhappier as a result when it doesn't make any difference to you getting what you want, which is the whole point of listening to it in the first place.
The best Law of Attraction book I have read is by Sandra Anne Taylor and is called "The Secrets of Attraction". It is more about positive thought than in making you feel you can have anything you want, which is a lovely feeling when you first believe that, but, as time goes on, after years, when you still haven't manifested what you believed would come about after first discovering the Law of Attraction process, you look around and feel like screaming to the universe: "Why???". And in Sandra's book, it is more of a psychological process using practical techniques in being more positive in general, rather than giving false hope and making you believe you can truly have anything at all that you desire, when unfortunately, you just can't and believing that you can is only going to set you up for disappointment as I found to my cost, (even though I felt so happy believing what I wanted was already mine and the situation I wanted to come about was already reality, but of course it wasn't and having to admit that eventually is very painful after buying into the whole 'ask and receive' thing as advocated in "The Secret") so, better to just try and see the things and conditions you have to be grateful for on a day to day basis and not put your faith in being able to manifest the wonderful situations that you want to create for yourself, because when it doesn't happen after believing for so long that it will, you feel so unhappy that it puts you right back anyway, so try to see the positive in any little thing that you can and don't risk being disappointed by wanting so much to manifest what you really want when you may not be able to, because believing in something that remains so far out of reach is not going to make you happy, it gives false hope where really there is no hope and continuing to believe in that case can lead to mental illness, so be realistic and see the good things in life now, they are there if you only look for them. No-one should give up on their dreams, but it all depends on what those dreams are, and unfortunately, some are just not achievable and hanging onto the erroneous belief that they may be, are damaging to one's state of mind.
Another thing about this chakra cd, if you want to go straight to the evening/night time meditation session then you have to skip forward to track 5 or 6, but it doesn't tell you this and for some reason the morning session skips forward about four times just within the same morning session and there doesn't seem any reason for this as it doesn't make any sense that it does this as why would anyone want to skip forward into random sections of a complete meditation session? Then there's the fact that at the very end of the night time meditation, if you do manage to be relaxed enough that you are drifting off to sleep, no sooner has the meditation finished than it goes immediately into a loud advert for more of their products and the website address, so if you were drifting off into a peaceful sleep then you are suddenly jolted out of it by this rather abrasive, very intrusive advertisement. But then I guess that is the nature of these things, to sell their products and push more of them onto you if they can.
Worthy of anyone, 06 May 2008
I have been using this Cd for some time now, as I am a great fan of Doreen's work. Having recently purchased the chakra clearing Cd by Stephen Richards has let me compare the two styles. I give the edge to Stephen's 'Cosmic Ordering: Chakra Clearing', as it strikes a chord due to its connections with cosmic ordering. I would like to point out that I do not think anything less of Doreen's product. I think it's because I go for Stephen's dulcet tones in his calm and reassuring voice that gives it the winning vote. I will still keep Doreen's Cd as a standby as she is a great lady.

Great, 13 Oct 2008
A worthwhile resource, 06 Apr 2008
All crystals seem to have some sort of hidden healing power, this book helps you select the one that is right for you. A real treat to even read about the obscure cystals, too. Well worth the invetment if you want to learn about these magical stones of life.
Definitive it is!, 21 Jan 2008
A very good book which I use often to check out stones and use her other books eg encyclopedia of crystals and new crystals. Worth it for a reference book.
A Great Addition to My Life's Toolbox, 13 Nov 2008
I agree with other reviewers: this book is worth your money.
The four agreements go like this: Be Impeccable with Your Word; Don't Take Things Personally; Don't Make Assumptions; and Always Do Your Best.
I read it again once I'd finished it because the four agreements can change one's life for the better. I've already noticed benefits in my daily life and in my relationships (especially the one with myself.)
The author writes in a very simple way (no literary intentions here); and what he says and shares regarding each agreement makes all his messages sink in.
This book will become a literary-sleeper (if it's not the case already), just like The Road Less Travelled by S. Peck.
No Limits, 14 Aug 2008
This was an inspiring read. The Four Agreements are beautiful, fresh, and uplifting concepts that one can easily integrate immediately. Ruiz believes we need not stay addicted to beliefs that limit us, nor should we strive for perfection, but always do our best. While reading this profound yet simple book, I recognized beliefs I had adopted since childhood that were based in fear, not in reality. Being free of these limiting ideas allows me to live fully and joyously in the present.
Another book filled with supportive and effortless ways to live magically in the "now" is called " Being Here" by Ariel and Shya Kane. They introduce three principals that make living a brilliant life a possibility right now...without working at it! I can feel all of these authors' integrity and generosity on every page.
A 3 yr old could have done better!, 02 Jul 2008
Really, I dont undertstand how anyone could have given this book 5 stars...it doesnt even deserve 1 star! There's nothing insightful about it and even an idiot doesn't need to be told 'the four agreements' to know them. A 3 yr old could have written a better book on the subject. Pls dont waste your money in buying this book...anyone want my copy?
A very powerful code to live by, 17 Jan 2008
Anyone brousing this review who's considering buying this book; I'd ask the following of you;
Imagine that you have permission to be happy and really enjoy your life - that your life is free of internal conflict within yourself and that created by others?
Imagine living your life without the fear of being judged by others? - that you know longer behave fearing how others might judge you?
Imagine letting go of any judgments you have about others and being able to forgive and not feeling the need to be right or make anyone else wrong?
Imagine you no longer fear being rejected and that you no longer have a compulsion to be accepted?
Imagine living without the fear of being loved or the need to be loved?
Imagine loving yourself for just the way you are without the need to live your life through someone else's eyes?
These are the fundamental questions this wonderful book answers via The Four Agreements.
Its a simple yet very profound read as it opens up our thinking and makes us realise how much energy we use and stress we take on in trying to live our lives under the burdons of social conditioning. It makes the point so clearly that its not what happens around us that counts, its how we choose to set our lives up and to live that matters.
Why should we choose to be victims in our own minds and carry around the weight of regret, hoplessness, envy or fear? Why should we shape our actions to constantly get the approval of others? - many who we have never even previously met?
This book has the answers. It makes the point that we aren't afraid to die but we are afraid to live and express ourselves. Its simple and it really drives the point home that we cannot continue to dwell in the past or to live in the future. We must live in the 'Now'

Yet another fraud for the credulous to waste their money on., 25 Oct 2008
What can I say... perhaps she should re-title her book to "pretentious delusions of a charlatan" as the current title could be construed as obtaining money by deception.
