Good book, 21 Jan 2005
If you want to learn about the females mind, this is the book for you, the emotional content that goes through each womens mind is abosolutly well written. conclusions *A good and interestiing read *if you want to learn how females, as they say "game" other females, its nothing much
Oh, wow., 29 Jan 2004
Though I am not a lesbian, I thoroughly enjoyed getting my curoisty sated through this beautifully written anthology. The only thing I've read that comes close to getting it right--besides this one--is "The Other Woman" by Kim Corum and also "Bad Girl" by Alision Tyler. A truly wonderful book. I would highly recommend it.
hot!, 07 Apr 2003
Definately worth a read, i found it very entertaining and stimulating to read! It tells of different experiences from in the funeral(very surprising i thought) to phone sex to your normal bedroom on how women have satisfied their curiosity as lesbian virgins to fulfilling their fantasies. Definately worth reading.
a wonderful book..., 14 Apr 1999
This book is very well written. It captures you so easily and once you begin to read it, you can't put it down. At the time I bought this book, I also bought two other lesbian erotica books...this one was the longest, but yet I finished it first (go figure). If you want something that is going to make your body throb and your heart sing, then this is the book to get.
Tasteful, erotic and a true celebration of lesbian sex, 06 Nov 1998
I have read other books professing to be "lesbian erotica" but they usually have included too much of the role playing and stereotyping I am not a fan of, rather than focusing solely on the mutual pleasure and sensuality that two women can achieve together. Awakening the Virgin appealed to that part of me that believes in the beauty and passion of women loving women while also validating the empowerment all women need to feel around their sexuality and sexual expression. A beautiful testament to the interface between hot sexual encounters and the emotional connection needed to make them so.

This book is HOT!, 04 Apr 2008
This collection of short stories is an absolute scorching read. I was unable to stop reading it and, in the end, I had to ration myself to one or two stories a night.
The subjects cover the whole range of lesbian sexual expression and there is going to be something for everyone inside its pages. It is rude, raunchy, seductive and just plain sexy.
I was aroused by the stories pretty much all the time and my girlfriend kept getting woken up regularly when I was reading it in bed.
Buy it, it will really give you ideas.
oh dear, what a dissapointment, 04 Feb 2007
i really cant say any more than that of mt title above, i was looking for some steamy hot women on women tales, and i really didn't get that. the book is a matter of taste, if you enjoy reading stories about butch daddy types, that wish above all else that they had a penis then go ahead and buy this. personally i love women who are women and that means i loathed this book. definitely did not stir any passions within me. but again it depends on your tastes

Up All Night - Kitten - Stephanie Taylor - WoW!!!!, 05 May 2005
What can I say apart from WOW!!! This collection of short stories leads the reader on an exhilarating journey through the most intimate desires, emotions and sexual experimentations of contemporary lesbian women. One story in particular made this book well worth reading... Kitten by new author Stephanie Taylor fuses pure energy and vibrancy in its narrative with unadulterated erotic drama that left me tingling all over. I am on tenterhooks waiting for the next publication by this exciting author which promises at the very least to be thrilling!!!!
Thoughts of a straight reader, 02 Feb 2004
So, it wasn't what I wanted but heh, what do I know? Simply put if you are after fantasy material written for the selfish straight male - do not buy this book - go to the newsagents and buy an appropriate glossy magazine. This book is not pornography it is beautifully crafted and emotional literature that I enjoyed. I may even have learned something:about modern sapphism - yes, women in general - perhaps, how to relate sex to emotion - absolutly. My only concern is that like the character who watches her partner on the sly (read it) I am a guilty voyeur intruding on a world to which I wasn'ted invited and do not belong. Do I feel guilty - not really. I feel enlightened.

A book for all, 17 Jun 2003
A really good book on lesbian experiences. It helped me to come to terms with my thoughts and feelings and to see them as normal. It is a thought provoking book with some beautifully written, heart-felt stories. Well worth a read for ALL.
Any place, any time, any pursuasion. Perfect., 20 Feb 2002
This is a book full of short stories from women of all ages and nationalities, with a variety of settings and opinions. It offers an intimate glance into the secret lives of others' experiences, realistically and often heartwarmingly. With just the right balance of romantic and erotic suggestion, whether you just want something quick to read before you go to sleep or you want a feel good pick me up, this is (especially for the curious or new) the book to read.
Curious., 18 Feb 2002
Since I read "Playtime" and got a little taste of a girl/girl tryst, I wanted more. I found it in this book. It is very open, honest and just plain good. If you're just curious, like I am, this book is a good start.
thought provoking - closet door opening, 03 Feb 2002
For those who think they may be so far in the closet, they are in Narnia, this could be what you need to open the door. It's funny, thought provoking and very honest. As for me, the doors now open
Excellent feel good book, 18 Dec 2001
Living in a place where the people are so homophobic and will literally put you to death - if given the chance - once you are found to be gay, I have had to depend on other people's stories to get an understanding of the lesbain lifestyle and feel good about myself. I therefore depend on TV shows and books in the comfort of my own house, which fortunately I don't share with anyone. This book is excellent for those days and nights when you want to reach out to someone but there's nobody there. It allows you to feel confident that there are other persons who feel exactly the way you feel, that you are not alone. The stories are well written, funny, witty, and not too long - they get to the point and allow YOU to bask in the afterglow. The stories also tell of people of all ages and sizes. I defintely recommend this book to anyone who wants to, but haven't had the opportunity to explore a lesbian relationship. I anxiously await the day when I will be able to write my own exciting story like the ones in this book.

Good for beginners, 14 Jul 2002
I am halfway through this book but so far I am impressed with the variety of stories. Some have made me cry and others have made me laugh. Although I am not a big reader, especially not with erotic fiction, I'm finding this book very readable. I am pleased all the stories have been written by women to avoid the smutty, steriotyped lesbians that are often portrayed by men.
Reasonable book of erotica, 01 Jan 2001
Some stories very good but others seem to run out of steam just as the narative gets going. The good stories are very good thought. Worth a look if you like your erotic tamed down a bit.

It just keeps getting better, 14 Mar 2006
Safe Harbor, Beyond the Breakwater and now the best of the bunch (in my opinion). Distant Shores, Silent Thunder is Radclyffe at the top of her game - action and mystery intertwine with beloved familiar characters, steamy passion and wonderful romance. In the third of the Provincetown series we get all the familiar characters - still as sexy and compelling as before, but we are also given the gift of a new love affair blossoming despite all the difficulties. Familiar characters continue to grow and learn about themselves as we learn about them. All in all - perfection.... And did I mention sexy???
Captivating third novel in the Provincetown series, 04 Jan 2006
In this third and strongest instalment in the Provincetown series of erotic romantic lesbian fiction, Reese and Tory's ever more compelling relationship develops as they care for their new baby together and face the challenge of the arrival in Provincetown of Tory's injured ex-lover KT. The rakish yet lonely KT meets the lovely Pia, who helps her to heal in more ways than one. Tormented young Bri continues to struggle with life's challenges, as her lover Carre is absent while her colleague Ali is clearly attracted to her. The three complex and interwoven subplots surrounding the engaging cast of characters are well developed and very satisfyingly resolved, while underlying it all is Radclyffe's now familiar affirmation of the power, beauty and essential rightness of love between women. Like its two predecessors, Distant Shores, Silent Thunder is an exciting and emotionally rewarding book which demands to be read more than once. Altough this book can be read as a stand alone novel, I would highly recommend starting with the first two novels in the series, Safe Harbor and Beyond the Breakwater.

Buy it, it will really give you ideas.

i really cant say any more than that of mt title above, i was looking for some steamy hot women on women tales, and i really didn't get that. the book is a matter of taste, if you enjoy reading stories about butch daddy types, that wish above all else that they had a penis then go ahead and buy this. personally i love women who are women and that means i loathed this book. definitely did not stir any passions within me. but again it depends on your tastes

Dirty, dreamy and definitely worth buying, 29 May 2006
This is a fast moving story, a sort of road trip dirty book, about two twenty-something girls travelling round Britain in a campervan who are really spaced-out and up for anything. Lost husbands, ex-boyfriends, dead women in hot flashbacks, these girls do it on the beach, they do it in the camper, incredibly realistic lesbian scenes galore. A great read, nothing wasted or put in just for effect, this is probably going to be a modern erotic classic for collectors and afficionados in the topshelf brigade. Five stars, if you're interested.

I actually enjoyed this book and had only hoped there were more pages, tantalising and fun, a good buy!

The Japanese do this sort of thing so much better., 29 Sep 2003
The first rule of drama (or any kind of fiction) is the appearance of conflict. This applies even to works of erotica, since the best erotica works as working towards an object of desire, and having to bypass obstacles. With no obstacles and no conflict, the short story of this comic book has all the erotic power drained from it. No sooner is the lead character thinking about sex than she is doing it. No sooner is she doing it than she's on to the next. The goal appears to be the actual sex act itself, rather than the climax - as soon as we have the panel depicting the act, we seem to have achieved our goal. Japanese erotic comics all have a much clearer idea of how to structure an erotic story in comic book form than we do here in the West. They know how to build the anticipation with the introduction of the situation; once we finally get to the sex, having a number of panels depicting lovemaking with greater and greater fervour until it finishes with a noisy climax from all parties. This is how it should be - not a constant stream of sexual images with no real context and no story arc.
Sexy, fast moving and very funny, 08 Aug 2001
This is an unusual comic book. It reads as really fast paced (each page is presented without panel gutters). It's the adventures of an oversexed lesbian at an all girls school and her eventual triumph involves a three way between herself, her lover and a really cute Nun. There are no men at all in the book in even the most incidental role the only fillip to the male genre being the frequent use of a strap on. It claims to be part one but I've yet to see it. Suffice it to say when I do I'll buy it

Suffice it to say when I do I'll buy it
Damn this spandex suit, can't hide any form of attraction!, 25 Oct 2008
Unmasked is a book of short gay erotic fiction regarding superheroes in various states of undress.
You will find out about some odd superheroes like Captain Kosher, the jewish superhero who can only eat kosher food or he'll die. (Based on Superman's invulnability to Kyptonite)
Spanman who has the ability to expand or contract any part of him, including his unmentionables and his encounter with gay tailor.
Also Cloud Surfer, the police chief who has a crush on one of his officers and they join the mile-high club without need of an airplane.
This book also contains a comic strip by Henry Kujawa called Stormboy and Jay, a superhero who has a mortal boyfriend. Although Stormboy has a passionate relationship, you shalln't find any sexual relationship drawn on these pages, it's purely conversational.
(Bit of a shame, but the emotional feelings are there)
So if you enjoyed the idea of Spider-man or Superman coming through your window as a boy and "playing" with them, you'll love this book.
Also one for spandex fetishists.
