Miki is living every woman's fantasy... stranded on a desert island with a rugged Navy SEAL. But little does Miki know she's a suspect in an international high-tech robbery, and her steely-eyed companion is ready, willing, and able to do anything to make her talk.
Navy SEAL Max Preston deosn't buy one word of his gorgeous captive's rambling story as he carries her up the beach. Yeah, she's got curves in all the right places, but Max has a nose for a con, and there's no way he'll let his iron control waver.
Now a hurricanes headed their way, and for Max and Miki time is ruinning out fast. Can they team up as friendly forces, and use Max's amaxing canine companion to escape before a deadly villain takes his twisted revenge?

I bought this book on recommendation - based on my previous and well loved purchases (Janet Evanovich in particular). The plot was very thin and many of the situations unbelievable and contrived. If you need to kill time, buy this book. Otherwise, there are much better books to read. It's a real shame as the premise sounds like it has a lot of potential. Appreciate the others in the series may be better as another reviewer advises, however this one was just too poor to convince me to buy more.
Start of a great idea!, 29 Jan 2005
Not my first Christina Skye book but by far the best. We have an FBI agent Summer Mulcahey who goes undercover as a nanny to help in a case of blackmail and death threats. Bring into it Gabe Morgan the gardener who in fact is a navy seal sent to watch over the family. These two people both like doing things there own way so when they have to team up to save the day sparks fly. Action and romance what more could you ask for. Deffinitly one of my favorites.

Jess Mulcahey is a hotel investigator, undercover, and finds herself being held captive by a gorgeous commando. Being good at escapes, Jess quickly gets free. But Fate keeps putting the Navy SEAL back in her path. A couple of steamy hours locked in an elevator makes them see each other in a softer light. Lieutenant Hawk Mackenzie is on a mission with Izzy. (A genius from five other Christina Skye novels.) They are searching for Princess, an ultra-secret transgenic koala bear that had been kidnapped. Jess ends up getting involved. Soon they are dodging bullets and ducking cold-blooded killers that pursue them. ***** Christina Skye novels blend sensuality and intrigue together to create the most unforgettable tales! In this one, another Navy SEAL meets his female match. Izzy is not the only one we get a peek at again. Remember Summer and Gabe's story? Jess is Summer's twin sister. So cameos from Summer and Gabe appear too. Excitement, adventure, and romance overflow in "Code Name: Princess". No boredom within these pages, readers. Highly recommended reading. ***** Reviewed by Detra Fitch of Huntress Reviews.

Its spellbounding narration simply stole my breath away!, 29 Oct 1998
This is my first time reading Christina Skye's novels and I loved every page of her story telling! Which is the reason why I'm at this site now - scanning for a list of her other books! I am amazed by the way she weaves romance together with adventure so successfully, that I didn't feel the urge to skip pages. In fact, the plot is refreshingly exciting, and I know it's ironic to say it, but hey, this is one romantic story! What I mean to say is, there are so many romance books out there, and some plots are overly stale. I just love the way Ms Skye brings us thru the story, falling in love with the characters, and actually trying to understand and gasp at what love is about. She deserves 5 Stars, NO LESS!!!
Amazing, 02 Apr 1998
I loved it. It is a stunning novel, one that transports the reader into the lives of Dev and India, while they are transported into the readers' hearts. I finished it in 2 hours.
This is an insight into the facade of our emotions., 09 Feb 1998
Ms. Skye has a way of making you feel as though you are right there with the charactors during the entire story. I hated to put this one down. I finished it in 3 hours.
Ms. Skye makes you think of how it would feel should your lover lose his memory at the very beginning of the story. She then proceeds to take you through the feelings of how it is to be in love and not to have that love returned. She shows you how to it is to feel betrayed and to feel very muched loved. This is one of the best romances I've ever read.

Yes, 2000 Kisses is good fun. Let down a bit by its saccharine title, this book is'nt as fluffy as you might initially think. I laughed out loud on serveral occations, not least when Tess, would be millionaire, manages to spend an inordinate amount of money in just one day. Mostly on clothes (normal behaviour I would think)and gets to do that 'Pretty Woman' thing, with her credit card winning respect from distainful shop assistants(every womans dream). It's almost a really good book but it's not because it goes the easy way instead of spending a little more time developing suspence or avoiding cliches. The snappy and entertaining story of ordinary folk in sundrenched Almost, Arizona, faced with a newcomer/city slicker, is complicated by a most irritating sub-plot of mystic nonsense that manages to be both confusing and unnecessary. And a potentially knockout hero falls short of being just that because he's one dimensional and flawless. Still dispite Spanish housemaids telling people to stay out of her kitchen in broken english, mysterious indian scouts appearing in thunderstorms to mutter wise ancetral words, and a monstrously improbably plot, this still somehow manages to be an enjoyable read with some good one liners and enough romance to keep you turning the pages.
WOWWWWWWW, 23 Mar 2001
P.R. whiz Tess O'Mara is burned out. She's looking for a change. Something wild and crazy. the year 2000 has arrived. and that's when the trouble begins. A computer glitch has deposited one million dollars into her bank account. Problem is, its somebody else's money, somebody who is willing to kill to find it-and Tess has already spent a big chunk of it on a new wardrobe and a powder blue Mercedes convertible. Suddenly Tess is running for her life, as fast and as far as she can go... ...until she reaches the sleepy desert town of Almost, Arizona. Sheriff T.J. McCall, a dead ringer for Mel Gibson, is there to catche her as she careens into town and collapses from heatstroke in his arms. Jake's prepared for anything -except the spoiled city slicker with trouble in her wake. The last thing he expects is to fall for her. But as danger tracks Tess to her door, something unexpected happens that will transform two very different people, and one dustym dead-end town, forever (text taken from book cover) Well, all i can say now is that i loved this book as I loved all other Christina Sky's novels. ITs a beautiful read and never a boring moment. Sizzling love scenes, action packed romance - what more do you want in a romance?? If you dont have this book yet - what are you waiting for - GO BUY IT! you will not regret it i promise.

Ford Mackay was not only easy to envisage but mouth wateringly sexy and my only complaint is that I'm not Carly. The plot moves swiftly and the action is thrilling, I could feel the heat and smell the islands and sea. I would recommend this novel to all and can't wait to see the film version that should be made.

Wickedly thrilling from beginning to end., 22 Apr 2001
Ford Mackay was not only easy to envisage but mouth wateringly sexy and my only complaint is that I'm not Carly. The plot moves swiftly and the action is thrilling, I could feel the heat and smell the islands and sea. I would recommend this novel to all and can't wait to see the film version that should be made.
DISAPPOINTING, 11 Oct 2008
I enjoyed the historical and descriptive aspect of this book but found the characters dull and lifeless and unreal. The story (if there is a story!) made absolutely no sense to me. Having read a lot of historical novels, I found this book very disappointing and I gave up at half way point - even that had been a struggle! Certainly not a romance!
One of the best romances I ever read....and I've read a lot!, 06 Feb 1999
I am an avid romance reader with a personal library of more than 200 romance novels and this book is one of the best I have ever read. I enjoyed this book because it promotes an alternative way of how a romance can develop. This is not one of those soppy romances one sees so many of. A definite must.
Full of promise, but disappoints and finally disgusts., 17 Dec 1998
This book was written by a very talented wordsmith and starts out as a great read, but quickly begins to disgust as the true nature of main characters becomes apparent. Any man who calls the woman he claims to love vile names as he attempts to rape her every fifth page (between saving her from being raped by every other male who lays eyes on her) is hardly hero material. And the justification he uses for his actions, that SHE REALLY WANTS IT regardless of how hard she fights and how much she begs him to stop, is disgusting. I found myself hoping he was actually the villian and a hero (or perhaps just a good therapist) would appear to set her straight - abuse is not love. I quit after about 250 pages and went to look for a ROMANCE to read. I'd had enough S and M.
Stirring adventure and sweeping romance, 13 May 1998
I loved the setting in the book and could almost feel the wind swirling in off the ocean. Add smugglers and high-seas adventure, a passionate pair of lovers, and a mad parrot and you've got a winning combination. The use of Breton language was unusual too. Romance in the high style!
Not one of her best works...., 15 Nov 1997
I don't know what to say... except that it is a silly story. I don't want to be a wet blanket but in short, how can a girl not know the VOICE a man whom she's slept with? The hero, Viscount Ravenhurst slept with her for one night... and then she hates him like hell... but surprisingly she can easily fall into the arms of a ship captain (when she was made temporarily blind) just like that! And the ship captain turns out to be - guess who - in disguise! Funny story... Can we have more credible romance stories??
