Really good short story, 21 Jan 2008
Please note if you are buying this book this is the USA version of Just Once which was released in the UK Jan 07.
The story is about Kate and Drake. Drake is a writer who has retreated to the countryside to write his next book and Kate is his pregnant girlfriend come to visit.
There is a twist but I am not going to give it away. Buy the book and read it and enjoy.

A stunning return to fomr for Lynne Graham 5*****************, 08 Jan 2009
I've always been a LG fan, but recently for me, her books have been good but not memorable, read-and-sell-on types. In this book, she is back at her stunning best, and a bit of a role reversal: Abbey is feisty, and yes, she's a redhead (!) but not downtrodden and not pocket venus and certainly not down on her luck or impoverished or without friends, family or future. She is a businesswoman who says no, and for the most means no, except when she's overcome with lust and falls into bed with Nicolai! She gives as good as she gets, is NOT a pushover, and sleeps with him through her own choice and not by being worn down by Nicolai, who, miracles of miracles for a LG male lead, uses a condom every time. It is so nice not to see a pair that seemingly come together mainly because she's pregnant and he has an attack of conscience, but their epilogue is the standard LG HEA, with babies and bright future. A 5* read, one that will be sitting firmly on my keeper-shelf

Sizzling, Sexy, Sensual, 03 Dec 2007
Jennie Lucas is a rising star and she certainly demonstrates it her December release of The Greek Billionaire's Baby Revenge.
The book begins on an almost violent note when Anna Rostoff and her sister realize that Nikos Stavrakis, Anna's ex-lover and father of her baby has come all the way to Russia and has taken possession of her infant son.
Nikos is one determined father, he will have and raise his son and he's angry, angry that he has for months been deprived of his son and silently angry that his mistress Anna left him. He wants revenge, he wants his son and most of all he desires and is determined that he and Anna will marry and raise their son together. How will he convince her? Your heart will stop as you read about this very sexy and determined man's plan, a plan to have that family of his own, to be the father he himself had never had. However, his plan did not include love because Nikos believed to love would make him weak!
Anna can't believe Nikos wants to marry her. How can he think it would work when she left him months before because she thought he was having an affair with his new secretary? Anna had once been Nikos PA and loved the job and working for him. She didn't count on falling in love with him, becoming his mistress and expecting his baby. When she found out she was pregnant, everything changed.....Nikos insisted she quit her job and stay at home until the baby was born. When she thought he was having an affair, she left and had her baby on her own.
There are other issues involved as well.......her father had worked for Nikos and one learns later that he stole from Nikos, was badly in debt and also owed money to a family friend and Anna's past employer, Victor. To top it off, Anna's mother has also been borrowing money from Victor and the debt is astronomical.
In the end, many lessons are learned by both Niko and Anna as to what really matters in life......mainly love and family. The Greek Billionaire's Baby Revenge is action packed, very sensual and passionate, an all around outstanding and exceedingly pleasing read, one the reader will remember for a long time.

I loved this book!, 24 Dec 2007
The Kouros Marriage Revenge is classic Presents with a modern spin, from a writer whose voice is young, fresh and hugely appealing. Its hero, Alexandros is very, very hot; fiercely arrogant and alpha in the best
tradition of this line, while also incorporating a touching deep-seated
vulnerability where his heroine is concerned, which develops and deepens
wonderfully as the story progresses. Kallie is smart and sassy, and the
dilemma in which she finds herself is painfully credible. Having enjoyed
Abby Green's first two books as well, this one now makes her an auto-buy for me.
Intense, Passionate, Sensual!, 22 Oct 2007
The Kouros Marriage Revenge will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with a box of tissues burning the midnight oil. You absolutely will not want to put this book down until you have finished this powerful and moving journey in forgiveness and love.
It's seven years later and Alexandros Kurous and Kallie Demarchis run into each other at a party in Paris. At first, he does not recognize Kallie but is definitely attracted to her in ways no other woman has touched him. When he realizes who she is and that he has the power in his hands to ruin her family he eventually comes up with a plan of revenge......she will wed him, he will take what he can physically from her and then turn her out, exacting seven years of revenge.
Seven long years ago, his young friend betrayed Alexandros for on the eve of his engagement to a shipping magnates daughter, Kallie declared her love for him, kissed him and he rejected her. The every next morning pictures appeared in the paper of them kissing sent by per personal email and his engagement was called off. If this was not bad enough her family who he adored told him they never wanted to see him again. His shipping deal fell through, his inner most secrets revealed and only through hard work was he about to get his shipping business back on track becoming one of the most successful in the world.
Abby Green has portrayed a dark "alpha" in Greek Alexandros Kouros. There are times you will want to slap him for his desire not only for revenge but also because he is using his newly acquired wife of convenience in the most hurtful of ways, strictly for his pleasure. Therefore, in the end when the tables are turned and he actually begins to "feel" you pray for them it is not too late.
Kallie Demarchis has blossomed into a beautiful and talented businesswoman. When she literally bumps into Alexandros her world tilts; all she can think of it getting away. However, she learns her Uncle needs Alexandros financial help and is blackmailed into marrying him, knowing that he plans to take his revenge physically and in the end, cast her off and divorce her. At times, this story was painful to read, to watch and feel her suffer, unable to control her love and physical desire for him. And in the end feel her need to end the marriage before she shattered!
I congratulate Abby Green on this extremely moving, intense and powerful love story......Alexandros and Kallie will long be remembered by this reader.

I congratulate Abby Green on this extremely moving, intense and powerful love story......Alexandros and Kallie will long be remembered by this reader.
a nice little read, 31 Jan 2008
Two years ago Alice Marchington fled a desperately unhappy marriage for the coast of Brittany, where she met irresistible doctor Remy de Brizat. But they were driven apart when he discovered her secret. Distraught by Remy's dismissal of her, Allie's only comfort was her discovery that she was pregnant with the Frenchman's baby.
Now Allie had returned to France, realising she has no choice but to tell Remy about his child. Remy offers her what she always wanted, marriage, but though he might worship her with his body, she knows there's not love in his heart.

Love the writing - HATE THE TITLE, 17 Oct 2008
I have to say I have never been disappointed when reading Susan Napier's stories, the only thing that disappoints is getting to the end and wishing it was longer.
I too cannot understand why she writes these small time books!
The blurb on the back of the book is:
One night in Paris...
Stealing out of a Paris bedroom, leaving a sexy, dark-haired stranger asleep in bed, the usually sensible Veronica Bell has experienced her first one-night stand!
Hot passion in Provence!
Only things get tricky when she unexpectedly meets Lucien again - he's the stepson of her employer in the South of France! Lucien seems determined to seduce her back into his bed and make her his mistress. To Veronica, he's the mystery - so why is he so suspicious of who she is? Especially now that a public scandal threatens to put their life between the sheets all over the tabloid sheets...
Much too good for Mills & Boon, 24 Apr 2008
Why doesn't someone persuade her to try a longer format? The only other M&B author I liked this much was Jennifer Crusie.

Pure authentic love - Pure vulcano Passion, 02 Dec 2008
No spoiler here, the story is too good for that. It's about a very alpha male Greek who falls in love with a woman he thinks committed a fraud by greed. He will blackmail and manipulate her ruthlessly into having an affair with him. She will accept because she has no choice, but soon will be as passionately addicted to him as he will be addicted to her. The passion between them, oh my! Scorching, mind-blowing, I felt like there was an active vulcano each time they just looked at each other. The reader can see how their feelings gradually move from passion to love.
The most beautiful part of the story for me is a scene where they went to a small restuarant together, far away from the tourists zone. I won't tell what happened, I'll just say I've rarely read a scene with such an intensity, with such a depth, with such a love.
Once again, Michelle Reid delivers, and beautifully.
What I like about Michelle Reid's books is that they are about people with a certain emotional maturity, even though they are as young (twenties and thirties). Her stories are always very well written, one can tell she takes her time writting something worth reading.
Being a fan of the Mills and Boon Modern or Harlequin Presents stories (it's the same), I like her alpha male heroes and strong heroines.
Her heroes are alpha males true and true, but they are all decent guys with likeable characters, and you can see in their behaviour that they love the heroine. Her heroines are strong and very feminine at the same time. Her love stories are not about only fighting each other the whole story and suddenly saying "I love you" at the end. No, her love stories are about loving each other and showing it every way possible, while at the same time fighting over issues that have to be resolved for the relationship to be satisfying.
I cannot tell how much it is enjoyable to read about two people that actually love each other and you can feel it. She tells the story from the hero and the heroine's point of view. You feel so connected to them, you feel their love, their pain , their pasion, their fights. From those stories, one can tell Michelle Reid is an author that understand what real love really is, and that is why she writes so beautifully about it.
Big Thanks to Michelle Reid for being such a good romance author!

No, her love stories are about loving each other and showing it every way possible, while at th | | |
