when I picked up Tom Griffith's book, i knew that i wanted to take a gap year but I did not know what I wanted to do. This book is my bible to getting myself organised and most importantly for inspiring to make the most of my gap year. The style in which he writes is conversational and this is encouraging especially as I was scared about making the first step. He makes it all seem ao easy and it is!!! I cannot praise it enough. Every gap year student wanting to travel should read this book!

This handbook provides a good descriptive overview over a wide range of topics relevant to modern Spain. These include, amongst others, political institutions, regionalism, the economy, the environment and education. It thus equips the student with useful background knowledge and forms the basis upon which further detailed studies may proceed. Useful extras include a glossary of Spanish terms and their English translation and a short guide to further reading. This book is a good starting point!

A Wonderful Resource for Parents and Youngsters!, 01 Jan 2001
If you're an American living overseas with school-aged children or a family from overseas living in the United States with children ages 10-14, this is a wonderful resource for preparing youngsters for college. Its friendly, question and answer almanac style format is engaging for both kids and their parents. Filled with both interesting facts and solid information, it provides the proper foundation for preparing for postsecondary studies. It's also a great help with the decisions and choices youngsters make about their studies while still in middle and high school. Highly recommended!!
