Usborne Lift and Look Trains, 23 Jan 2007
My 18 month old son was given this as a present at Christmas. He loves opening the flaps to find teddy and gets really excited. The book is quite robust as it has been played with so much. Highly recommended.

Machines for Boys, 03 Dec 2007
Thank goodness someone came along and wrote some excellent machine books for little boys. The graphics are simple yet have detail to educate and discuss. What I would say is that the text is minimal (although rhythmic) and there is no real story line. For quite little boys this is fine, but for 3+ they look for a bit more story as to what is being shown and why.
Great Book, 14 Jun 2006
My little boy loves this book. He's nearly 2 and asks for 'car book' constantly. The pictures are fun with plenty to point out - he's learning colours now! The text is zippy and rythmical. I recommend this and am going to start buying the rest of the collection.
Great Graphics, 23 Feb 2006
My son loves these books, I have been buying them for him for the past two years. The graphics are fantastic, and if your child loves anything on wheels then this series is for him/her.

Train Station Sticker Book, 27 Jul 2006
I feel as if I was very much mislead by the advertisment for this book. I took hardcover to mean hardback - it is a paperback book measuring 14.5cms X 10cms and contains 4 pages of stickers. The price of £3.27 is really outrageous.
very small and not much activity, 12 May 2006
Well, this is a 10 minute kind of book - because that's how long it takes a child to play with it and get bored of it. Hardback it ain't - don't know how it got that description. It is basically a cardboard cover which is a background scene and the rest of the pages are reusable stickers which you use to create train scenes. It's OK (a good travelling bag filler, perhaps) but not really the 'activity' book I was expecting. It's also only about 5 inches high, which means you have to be quite precise with your sticking ability. Wouldn't recommend it.

Great toy!, 17 Nov 2008
My 2 year old was given this last Christmas! He and my 8 year old have spent many happy hours driving around the living room. It actually lasted until about May before it needed repairs which was amazing given how popular it was. It is only cardboard after all. It's still going strong with a bit of parcel tape holding on the door! Both kids loved the way it opened out and turned in to a fire engine but were not too bothered about the story. We have a small house and I loved the way they got a big toy which could be folded away to nothing. Recommended!
Convertibles ~ Fire Engine, 03 Oct 2004
This book is great fun. A book, play mat and a car all rolled into one. My son (2 1/2) loves it. He spends a lot of time 'creating' the book car, with a working door!!, and driving to the pretend seaside. As a story I would say it is a little weak in content but I would still rate this book highly due to its immense play value.
