Excellent fun, 01 Nov 2008
I bought this book along side the doodle book, and I have to say its fantastic.
My son was forever asking "what can I draw?" when given a piece of paper and soon got fed up with it and the convetional colouring books, but now, all he ever does is draw. He hasn't actually played with his DS console in a long time which is fantastic!
He take his time, puts in lots of thought and effort, this is something he has previously never done when given coloured pencils.
Highly reccomened, will keep them and you amused for ages!
Just wish I'd come up with the idea!, 01 Sep 2008
As a counsellor working extensively with children of all ages, both sexes and from all backgrounds with a whole host of issues, I find this book invaluable in unlocking some of their unconscious thoughts and opening up lines of communication. But most of all, it's great fun. Think I should be receiving royalties for the sales I have actively encouraged. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Ace when your 7 ace when you're 27!!! , 13 Aug 2008
I had one of these when I was about 10. It didn't have the same cover but all the same things are in it. It's fantastic! It really gets you thinking and the imagination flowing. These are great to finish, keep and look back on. In mine, I had to draw a scene of what the world would be like in 2001! I had flying cars and robots! Makes me laugh now! Would recommend this book to anyone of any age. It's really clever and enormous fun!!!
Fantastic!, 19 Apr 2008
This book really sparks the imagination! I bought this to top up an order and dont regret it! One of my children just "doesnt do drawing" and said at 11 she was "too old for colouring in". I gave her this and she didnt out it down for days, completing page after page of detailed and imaginative artwork.
The book gives the idea, a basic start such as "design a stamp for the first postcard sent from Mars" and a postcard outline... or "The artist hurt his thumb as he was starting his picture, can you help him out?" and they are off! Great for any child who has difficulty with imaginative artwork or who has trouble creating something pleasing from scratch :)
Brilliant! Buy One...or two!!, 10 Apr 2008
I bought this for my ten year old daughter who is art mad! Ordinary colouring books are OK but limit creativity to "what colour shall I use next?" This book is wonderful, it asks the user to think about what they want to draw by starting with the germ of an idea and then letting the user decide where to take it from there!
My daughter and her friends were facinated by it!
Excellent for home, school, play groups, after school clubs etc.

I bought the Spiral Draw Book for my 9-year old son last year. He has used it and used it. No complaints when asked to make a card, design a poster, write a letter. Everything has been decorated with different spiral patterns, or spiral patterns turned into animals, monsters, etc. It takes a bit of getting used to plus a bit of concentration, but now my 7-year old is starting to have a go.

I have used this book with children from 7 to 14 and all have enjoyed it and not realised they were learning whilst colouring. This is not stand alone but is great for overlearning and reinforcement. It also makes a great starter.

Every one's an original, 02 Jul 2008
This is a fantastic book - you buy a copy for your children, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, then find yourself itching to get the pencils and colours away from them to have a go yourself. The precisely and beautifully executed pattern drawings are calling out to be coloured in and completed in minute detail by small girls dreaming of the perfect princess...and to be given a wacky twist by anyone wanting to go drawing mad. In Rosie Flo's world everyone's a talent.
Wonderful Gift, 28 Jun 2008
I love this series of books, the drawings are fun, beautifully drawn and creative. I have bought many copies from the Rosie Flo series for the young people in my life as well as adults (who also love it). It really can cross the age divide and is a great gift for everyone.
simply genius, 24 Jun 2008
What makes 'Rosie Flo' so special is that it helps channel creativity. Every page is a new adventure, with enough of a helping hand to allow the most and less well inspired of young people really to express themselves. Our children, eight and six, boy and girl, love these fantastic books.

A great, enjoyable teaching tool for all ages., 01 Jun 1998
I teach children ages 11-16. Some are special education students and others are gifted. I wanted a life science curriculum that would be highly motivational, easy to understand and would teach the real names and concepts. I, myself, do not have a strong scienc background. i knew I would be learning along with my students. Truth is, I purchased three anatomy coloring books, but only this one did the trick. It appeals to the kids, has clearer drawings and more simplified text with catchy sub-headings than the other texts I tried. It is also geared for real learning and introduces concepts as well as vocabulary about human anatomy. I highly recommend this text for beginners. It can be used as independent work or even, just-for-fun, free-time work in the classroom or at home.

A colouring book for older children., 20 Jan 2006
How fantastic to find a colouring book which can be used by older children. Its great to be able to find a colouring book which doesn't just contain very simple drawings only interesting to pre school children. My child has special needs and has difficulties using pens and pencils. This colouring book will enable him to work on his pencil skills using pictures which hold a huge interest to him and are much more age appropriate then the normal colouring books available.
If you judge a book by its cover, 06 Apr 1998
A book that invites children to color in scenes from a well-known disaster is probably as horrifying, as sinking in the ship itself. After being exposed to the media hype and all of the other coverage surrounding the film release and the Oscars, the last thing I would want is for children who color, which means they are usually of pre-school age, let their imagination run wild with a box of crayons. Studies have shown that children are attracted to color, and I can just imagine the 64 crayola packs famed magenta coloring the dresses of the woman jumping into the life boats. The cries for help written in block letters and sky blue for the bitter cold water that took so many lives. Maybe they can start a companion series and have children color in scenes from Kobe or perhaps the fateful plane crashes on the twentieth century. This coloring book makes me worship teletubbies, as I pray to Barney for salvation.
