Just fantastic!! It was the first book that ever got a tear from me...such a lovely love story and very well written!!
Simply excellent, 19 Dec 2006
This book is simply amazing. The tension created between the two characters was done very, very well, their rapour seemed fantastic and I felt along with them. The dialogue was written convincingly and some situations reminded me heavily of one's i have experienced myself. This book made me think about things in my life for a while afterwards when very few books have had this effect on me. I wanted to pick it up and read it again, almost straight after putting it down. It is very much, worth a read. I place this book in a much higher regard than the best selling lesbian novel - curious wine. A must buy.

Life gets complicated when love turns out to be nothing like you expected - and the woman you want is too close to touch.
Gretchen Kaiser is a workaholic corporate honcho with issues - she's got daddy issues, she's got female-executive-in-a-man's-world issues, and she's got one night stand issues. What she doesn't have are love issues. She isn't looking for it, she doesn't feel she needs it, and she doesn't expect to find it...certainly not right under her nose. Kylie O'Brien is the kind of girl who believes in true love and is willing to wait until it shows up at her door. Her best friend Mick would sweep her off her feet given the chance, but Mick doesn't make Kylie feel the way true love should. And now Kylie has to worry about her new boss - Gretchen Kaiser's icy reserve makes life as her administrative assistant a challenge. It doesn't matter one damn bit that Gretchen is extremely attractive with a voice as rich and smooth as melted chocolate. It absolutely doesn't...

Sex Sex and more sex, 08 Aug 2008
In this story is Dan and Laurel. It begins with Dana's birtday and how is she celebrating do you ask?
By staying at work and working on a 'very improtant proposal'. That is quickly inturputed by a half naked woman dancing on her lap. After the first rush of desire has passed Dana angrily escorts Laurel out of the building. And of course the lift breaks down. And no one will be in until morning, which in turn means they'll have to find some way to ammuse themselfs(g). And as you'll probably guess it isn't long before Dana forgets about her 'important proposal'.
I at first thought the whole book would be about the whole thirteen hours and was worried that wouldn't be enough. But gladly that isn't the case as the story carrys on from their heated tyrst. And even furter into their relationship.
A real hot erotic story.
Hot! Hot! Hot!, 09 Jun 2008
This book is so hot it burns your fingers. Unashamedly pure erotic fiction. With the whole of the first half of the book taking place in the lift the atmosphere is electric as the characters engage in games of truth or dare and it continues to build to a rip roaring climax (!) from there.
I cannot recommend it enough if you like your fiction with an incredibly sexy slant.
Synopsis, 21 May 2008
It's her birthday, but lonely workaholic Dana Watts is at the office late, drafting a proposal. She is interrupted by the very last thing she would have expected: the most beautiful breasts she has ever seen. These belong to an incredibly hot stripper, a birthday present from a friend who thinks she needs to loosen up.
Laurel Stanley has never encountered a more ungrateful strip-o-gram recipient than Dana. The uptight project manager makes it clear that she is furious to be distracted from her work and equally appalled by Laurel's occupation.
When Dana insists on escorting Laurel from the building, the two women take an elevator ride that changes everything. Stuck with each other for thirteen long hours after the elevator breaks down, they discover how wrong first impressions can be--and how right two strangers can feel together.
Can everything change in less than a day? Dana and Laurel set out to discover if their passionate elevator encounter can mean more in this fast-paced, erotic story of lust, loneliness, fantasy, and desire.

Yet another masterpiece from Langley!, 10 Oct 2008
The title of this review is TOTALLY serious - I love JL Langley! Having read and re-read several of her previous novels, I couldn't wait for this one to arrive (after Amazon thankfully made me aware of its forthcoming publication) and I wasn't disappointed!
Langley writes about Cowboys and Indian's (Native American). She writes about Cowboys loving Cowboys and Indian's (who are secretly warewolves) loving other Indian's (who are also warewolves). Realistic? Clearly not, but lighthearted, sexy romps? Then, definately!
'With Caution' is a semi-follow up to the wonderful 'Without Reservations' - characters from the two novels cross-over - however, this book is the tale of how Remi and Jake (first introduced as bit-characters in the earlier book) find love and happiness... only after alot of angst, upset, sadness and some real SEXY loving!
These raunchy tales are thoroughly enjoyable; Langley takes her writing seriously as the sexy hook-ups between the characters only fill part of the text, while the rest of the story takes in other, more serious elements (such as murder, abuse and death).
What is especially pleasant is the kinship between the gay characters. In this book, it tells how members of the same warewolf pack care for and defend each other other from outsiders and interlopers. The central romance is dealt with passionately and, often, quite believably.
I recommend anyone who enjoys a hot man-loving read, buy this book (only after buying and reading 'Without Reservations' first, so you know where, how and why Jake & Remi get together) and if you enjoy... then knock yourself out with her Cowboys books - 'The Tin Star' and 'The Broken H'. You won't be disappointed!!

You just can't go wrong with a K G MacGregor book. Tight plot and interweaving sub-plots, real people living far-from fairy-tale existences, angst, romance and sex that has the ring of reality about it. And if like me, you have never really gotten over that first incredible but impossible teenage love, you'll empathise with one of the main motivational forces in this book. An intelligent, vivid and engaging piece of writing.
Is it a Return or a One Way Ticket?, 02 Oct 2007
KG MacGregor appears as one of the most outstanding writers of the lesbian romance genre at the moment. The best proof is her newest novel called "Out of Love" where you meet two women that come from two different professional status, Carmen Delallo is a succesful owner of a consulting firm and Judith O'Shea is a travel agent who is struggling with her job. It happens that they're both single, beautiful and are attracted to each other. It also happens that Carmen lives in Chicago and Judith in New York and there is a small secret that one of them cannot hide for ever.
KG describes her characters so realistic that you find yourself living Carmen and Judith's lives as your own. It's not a matter of falling in love only and `what a good time we had' but something that has to do with feelings and learning to take the right path because it is worth being with someone that makes your world fullfilled.
"Out Of Love" is also funny, the dialogues are brilliant and the end is superb.
Do you know what is the worst thing it can happen when you are reading a KG MacGregor's book? That it ends.

The story of Drew and Jay, drawn to each other at their first meeting but with Jay in a failing relationship, the book follows their relationship from its beginnings in freindly flirtation through to its climax on a luxury holiday where Jay and her partner and Drew and her date and all present. A real page turner where the sexual tension continues to build with each page Gerri Hill has done it again, a wonderful read.

I thought this book was extremely well written with a powerful storyline. This book does have a couple of characters from Nell's first book, Running With The Wind, but is a complete story in its self.
I enjoyed this book very much and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good lesbian romance that actually has a decent story to it.
Well done Nell, keep em coming.
Synopsis, 18 Aug 2008
Love is thicker than blood.
When Yale student Sarah Storm comes out to her parents, they disown her and withdraw all support for her education. A few days later, Sarah's long-term girlfriend breaks up with her and Sarah loses everything that matters--family, future dreams, and love. Forced to leave Yale with only the contents of her dorm room and a boat of a car bequeathed to her by her grandmother, Sarah scrambles to get her life back on track at the University of Rhode Island. Burying her hurt and disappointment, Sarah throws herself into both her classes and social life. But no one she meets is quite as intriguing as Rory, her new--and apparently straight--roommate. When it becomes clear that her attraction to Rory is mutual, however, Sarah begins to fear that history will repeat itself and she'll end up alone.
Will Sarah be able to put aside the betrayals of those she loved and trust again? Or will the consequences of her own coming-out experience get in the way of a new chance at happiness?

Upon reading the reviews about this book on Amazon I thought wow this books sounds like a good read. Sadley I was disappointed. The plot is poor and goes all over the place. a very slow and hard to engage read.
Lovely stuff, 09 Dec 2007
Excellent book, 21 Sep 2008
Or will the consequences of her own coming-out experience get in the way of a new chance at happiness?

i have to admit when i read the dicription for this book i wasnt blown away by it. but eveyone should read this book, wither ur gay, bi and st8 it doesnt matter this book is just fantastic Something else, 24 Oct 2006
This book is wonderful. The first time in a long time that a book actually made my heart ache. The title stems from the fact that the story is in effect told by Liza as she spends her days in MIT thinking about Annie. Annie who she loves but hasn't seen or spoken to in 6 months.
She thinks back to how they met, struggled with the emotions of falling in love with another woman and also why she hasn't been able to reply any of Annie's letters even though it hurts her so.
I can't think of strong enough words to describe how beautiful this book is. I'd recommend it to anyone. please buy it..., 17 Oct 2006
this is a touching and moving book. i have read it over and over and i still never want it to end...
nancy garden writes effortlessly and beautifully, the characters come alive and there story and experience feels as fresh as the day the book was written.
timeless What a book!!, 10 Mar 2006
This is a wonderfully written story which any one can relate to in some way or another, as most people know someoone who has been through this dilema of confusion even if not personally. Once you start reading it, you wont put it down.
A read for the masses, 12 Apr 2005
I read the reviews of Annie on My Mind (AOMM) and I immediately knew I had to read the book. I ordered it at the beginning of April and have been waiting for it to arrive. It came today, and I began reading. I did not stop. The writing is excellent; it portrays a lesbian teenage relationship fraught with uncertainty. I think this book would appeal to the straight teenager as well as the gay. The uncertainty that they both feel, about what they are feeling happens to all. I found myself reading one page, racing through the text, having to re-read the pages more than once, to get to the next. Knowing that this beautiful relationship will hit a snag, wanting the snags, just so you could read it repaired. I love this book, and I am set to read it again, and notice all the subtleties I missed in my haste to finish. The characters are complex, which makes this book so wonderful. They are human, with human emotions that I have found to be lacking in any romance fiction. When it comes to gay or lesbian fiction, the relationships are usually described as lust filled encounters, two people meet, unexpectedly attracted to each other and end up sleeping together, thinking in their mind "oh I shouldn't be doing this" for a mere second. In this wonderful novel, the characters seem duly confused over their growing attraction to each other, and uncomfortable with themselves, trying to explain it to the other. Whether you are gay or straight, confessing that you have strong feelings for another person is difficult, adding societal pressures to the mix... Nancy Garden manages to capture it all, in her too short a book. My measure of good characters is that long after you put the book down, you wonder what the future holds for them. i find myself wishing Nancy Garden to write a follow up, so I can find out what happens between these two. Please read this book, I have very few favourites, and this is one of them.

A real page turner, 02 Aug 2008
The story of Drew and Jay, drawn to each other at their first meeting but with Jay in a failing relationship, the book follows their relationship from its beginnings in freindly flirtation through to its climax on a luxury holiday where Jay and her partner and Drew and her date and all present. A real page turner where the sexual tension continues to build with each page Gerri Hill has done it again, a wonderful read.
Too Close to Touch, 22 Oct 2007
A must buy.
500 stars!!, 15 Jul 2006
These raunchy tales are thoroughly enjoyable; Langley takes her writing seriously as the sexy | | |
