Customer Reviews
An excellent read for anybody considering hedging inflation risk., 21 Jun 2007
An excellent read for anybody considering hedging inflation risk. Too many professionals have focussed on the inflation-linked bond market and derivatives thereof. Also, many books only study the technicals of inflation; drivers of consumer prices, etc. 'The handbook of inflation hedging investments', does not pretend to predict inflation going forward, but just concentrates on delivering price-level type returns, either through (traditional) bond investments, but also through all kinds of alternatives, like commodities and real estate. Recent press releases from various university endowments and pension funds, regarding investments in energy and timber, clearly demonstrate that Robert Greer had captured the spirit of the time, with related chapters in this book.
